Just watched this video @ CDM, showing the making of the interactive soundtrack the western game Red Dead Redemption. Why interactive? They composed loads of small themes and parts all in the same tempo and tuning so the game sound engine could launch any of them depending on the player actions. This united with real (and sometimes old!) instruments makes it a killer soundtrack.
